Arts & History... UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The history of Point Arena, incorporated in 1908, has been captured in many forms.  A comprehensive timeline of events, changes and memorable moments is found in the initial data collection called "Point Arena, the First Fifty Years".  To the delight of many, Former Mayor Leslie Dahlhoff painstakingly ensured that the City's history not be forgotten, with her creation of the "Second Fifty Years" produced in 2008.  Both these wonderful timelines can be found under the documents section of this website for your enjoyment.

Local historian, Steve Olliff has dedicated years of research into the history of the City of Point Arena.  He has published many books that not only provide the facts and details of many amazing milestones, but his books contain countless, priceless photographs.  Look for these publications, here are several titles that you may enjoy:
