Parks & Recreation is vital to achieving and maintaining a high quality of life, ensuring the health of our families and youth, and contributing to the economic and environmental well-being of our community. We are proud to have three amazing park areas and many bike paths and trails for the enjoyment of our residents and tourists. Arena Cove & Pier... located on the ocean at the end of Port Street Centennial Plaza & Fisherman’s Playground...... located downtown - right next door to the beautiful Arena Theater Rockwall Park (undeveloped, acquired 2011) .... this wonderful 4+ acre parcel is located just west of the Cove on Port Street. Our City’s three parks handle upwards of 4,500 visitors a year! Centennial Plaza & Fisherman’s Playground is home to the weekly (summer time) Farmer’s Market and the new site for the Acorn Annual Picnic. Reserve the group picnic site for your next bar-b-que or gathering, perfect for game day celebrations or family events! Join us for the Christmas tree lighting in Centennial Plaza! Arena Cove & Pier is location to our city’s largest community events: Fireworks Extravaganza and Street Fair held annually on the 1st full weekend of July and Harbor Fest (held first Saturday each September). Countless tourists travel to Point Arena for these Oceanside festivals! Don’t miss the fireworks display off the end of our pier or the city staff’s famous fish tacos at the annual Harbor Fest. Our City’s Trails and Bike Paths……………are underway. The CIty's Parks & Recreation related goals:
